FEB,18,2009,The new office of the NMMC Education Committee was inaugurated at the hands of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik where the department also accepted the ISO certification.With the aim to enhance the quality of education in NMMC schools and improve the working of the NMMC Education Committee, a new Education office was inaugurated at the first floor of the ward office at Koperkhairane.
The inauguration was done at the hands of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik. Also present was CIDCO Director Namdeo Bhagat, NMMC Education Committee Chairman Ravi Iyer amongst other dignitaries. Speaking for the department, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik stated that proper infrastructure for NMMC schools, provision of school equipments free of cost and quality of education would always be the main objective of the Education Committee. The NMMC Education Committee is undergoing a lot of welcome changes ever since Ravi Iyer has taken over as the Committee’s Chairman. Unlike past chairmen including Ram Vichare who were busy with their businesses and hardly attended to the basic needs of municipal education or made any attempt to better the quality of education imparted in municipal schools.
